Northern Tour

Northern Tribe Tour of Thailand

If you have ever wanted to meet the native tribes of Thailand then this is the tour for you. You will travel to the second largest city in Thailand, then into the mountains near the border. Here you will stay the night with a tribe. During the day you will experience the local customs of the village and join in activities such as white water rafting. We recommend 2 weeks for this trip.

Day 0-3:
Arrive in Bangkok. Enjoy the city and organize your trip to Ko Samui. There's thousands of Wat's (thai temples) to see. Visiting the water markets and the royal palace are a must for every visitor to Bangkok.

Day 4-7:
Arrive in Chang Mai. This city is centered on an ancient Thai city that was important to a trading route from Bangkok to Laos. The structure of the ancient city can still be seen today at the center of Chang Mai.
They say that you haven't seen Chang Mai unless you have seen it from Do Suthep, a nearby mountain overseeing the entire city. At the peak of this mountain is a golden Wat with incredible views.
Near to Chang Mai is a charity for abused elephants. A day trip to this site is priceless. There are many one day cooking classes in Chang Mai. Learn to cook like the locals!

Day 8-10:
Travel into the Mountains 4 hours out of Chang Mai. Here are some of the native people of Thailand still living the traditional way. There are also many tribes from neighbouring Myanmar. Create bead necklaces and learn local customs from the villagers. Then travel to the next town via white water rafting.

Day 11-12:
Return to Chang Mai and clean up before catching a flight to Bangkok.
